so here's another project i worked on before Christmas..this was for my Godson Matt...who commissioned me in november to try and capture his special lady..we were in florida attending a wedding and met sharie for the first time..they came to Columbus for Christmas and we were able to surprise her.  I also surprised matt with a painting I've had on hold for a while.. as soon as he sends me a photo, i'll post that one!!

"Reflections"

so this isn't the greatest for lighting..i was in the shade and it was getting very cold and windy..i painted this yesterday in front of the inspire gallery in carmel and met some very nice folks who were out for the monthly gallery walk...

painting on main street....

so I went up to the carmel gallery walk..lots of fun and lots of people..at one point I had my boat painting turned upside down..i sometimes do that to paint shapes instead of things....and this little boy came along and was so confused!..i'm so glad I went..got these two paintings accomplished and met some wonderful people..it really is a small world!..these are now in beautiful omega frames, both 12x12 and available at the INSPIRE studio gallery at 15 e main st. in carmel...the shadow you see at the top of the boat painting is from the top of the panel holder on my easel..no worries...

Newest Harbor painting...

this is probably 15x15 or 18x18...I need to measure it..i found an old frame and cut a piece of Masonite to fit and then prepared it with several coats of gesso..this will be on its way to Simon's in Georgia..along with several other nautical themed paintings..

so i finished up one horse painting today..i think...haven't taken a good pic of it yet..snowed again and i can't photograph outside...but i thought i'd give this a try..i'm running out of days to get all these ortiginals done so they can dry..i may need to tweak this but i'm pretty happy with how it turned out...
