here's what happened today...i had tillie and ollie much of the day and as i was finally driving home up the driveway i saw these gorgeous lilacs that finally bloomed on my new lilac bush. i was so excited! i cut a few and dashed up to the studio and worked..and worked...but they were somehow wrong from the get-go. not like the peony that literally fell off my brush yesterday. so i wiped it off! - i think any time that happens (and i suppose it inevitably will from time to time) - i'll just post a little "blast from the past"....this is a little guy on the sea island driving range - not sure if i sold this one or not - i'm pretty sure it's 8 x 10 - a lot of fun to do and very representative of the painting fodder on the island. i've had some good digitals made of a few of my daily paintings and i'm thinking of posting them as giclees on ebay.a daily musing about my family, my life, but mostly about art - how i will try to paint every day - even while my house is falling down around my ears and my five grandchildren are clamoring to paint with me. thank god my husband likes to cook and that he and nellie and ruby, our golden retrievers, have infinite patience. we'll see.....
